A trichologist is someone who specialises in hair and scalp health. They are experts in trichology, which is the science and structure of all hair types, as well as hair and scalp conditions. Unlike a Dermatologist, a Trichologist can perform microscopic tests that help with the diagnosis and evaluation of the condition and inform the client the best course of treatment.

Trichology Questionnaire & Consultation

During your consultation a detailed patient history will be taken. Your concerns will be thoroughly discussed, along with your medical history, nutrition, lifestyle, hair care practices and family history. Our priority is ensuring patients are given a clear and precise diagnosis with real expectations on their prognosis.

Online consultations you will be offered a 1 hour WhatsApp Video consultation to discuss your online completed patient history questionnaire.  Your concerns will be thoroughly discussed, along with your medical history, nutrition, lifestyle, hair care practices and family history. Our priority is ensuring patients are given a clear and precise diagnosis with real expectations on their prognosis.
 
Trichoscopy Examination in person consultations

A analysis of your hair/scalp and follicles will be completed using a clinical microscope called Trichoscopy.  The examination will make a detailed assessment of the following:

Scalp, Density, Keratin, Redness, Pores and thickness of hair strands.  

A visual screen will also show the patient the images as they are performed.

Online consultation clients will be sent a microscope and instructions on how to take scalp and follicle photographs to be emailed back to Godiva for analysis.
 
Food Intolerance Testing

It is important that we assess how your body absorbs nutrients and if you are deficient or sensitive to certain foods, additives or minerals as this is essential to hair follicle regrowth.

Our food intolerance tests for the following:

900+ Food & Non-Foods tested
Dairy & Gluten items tested
Vitamin & mineral imbalance tests
Metal sensitivity test
Gut Biome Test

A sample is taken for analysis - 3 strands of hair with follicle attached will be sent for analysis

Online clients will be sent instructions and will be asked to post the sample back to Godiva. Client to pay the postage costs.

You will be emailed a 67 page detailed analysis report where you can start to take action immediately.
 
Diagnosis, Report Analysis and Treatment Plan

You will receive a detailed report analysis that will provide you with the following information:

Diagnosis
A explanation regarding your diagnosis and prognosis
Diet recommendations
Referral to your Medical Practitioner or Dermatologist, if necessary
Salon treatment plan
At home treatment plan
Recommended medication
Recommended products

This report will be emailed to the patient within 7 days and copy can be sent to your Medical Practitioner
